Prayer Position

We must make every effort,
For entering a place of rest;
Finding solace in the comfort,
Knowing that you have done your best.

Then you will never become lost,
By following an example;
Disobedience at a cost,
Refusing to trust and obey.

The Word of God is still living,
Sharper than any two-edge sword;
Compassionate and forgiving,
If you remove any discord.

It will cut deep into your soul,
Separating from your spirit;
So His Spirit regains control,
Stopping any evil merit.

His Word judges intent and thought,
That no creature can ever hide;
He already knows what you sought,
And why you no longer abide.

Everything is uncovered,
Exposed for Him so He can see;
And the truth cannot be altered,
Of facts about you or of me.

We must always answer to Him,
In all that we say and we do;
Since our guilt will make us grim,
When we confess not what is true.

We have a faith that we declare,
With Jesus Christ up in Heaven;
A proclamation we declare,
For salvation that was given.

Living today is full of strife,
And easily can knock you down;
Pray to God to restore your life,
As He makes a smile from that frown.

Receive mercy and find kindness,
When you are in the prayer position;
At the right time He will then bless,
To help through your situation.
